EDWIGE, the snow-owl
After choosing arounded shaped stone, wash well with soap and water and let dry. Then I made a base with plaster to let it stand. Then undercoat stone with white and outline the drawing with a pencil. |

Make shadow with a medium grey: cover the breast of the owl and with short brushed, the head, then, using a liner brush, outline all the pencil-lines. |

To paint its eyes coat with a yellow base, then with a dark yellow paint a semicircle above and finish with a very light yellow semicircle under it. When completely dry add a black central pupil. With black paint the beak too. |

Using two grey tones, one very light and one darker than a medium tone, paint the head feathers, with short lines, the paint the back and wing feathers making two U with these two greys. |

With white color add a dot in the pupils, tufts of feathers above the beak, and bigger tufts in the owl's breast wher you can add grey little lines. With two tones of grey and using a liner brush, paint parallel lines at the wings. |

The final step is to give Edwige 2 coats of varnish..either spray or brush-on. The varnish protects the paint from chipping, and give a brighter color to it. |
